Kim Kardashian’s Skkn Skin Care Brand Is Being Sued
Kim Kardashian‘s pricey skincare line Skkn by Kim is facing its first lawsuit. Just weeks after the fact star launched her $630 nine-step system in partnership with beauty giant Coty Inc., Brooklyn, N.Y.-based Black-owned aesthetician, Beauty Concepts, has filed a lawsuit against Kardashian and Coty over trademark infringement. Beauty Concepts, owned by Cydnie Lunsford, sells skincare products and provides services out of its retail location in Brooklyn under the Skkn+ trademark and in addition sells skincare products through its website. The suit alleges that Beauty Concepts reached out to Kardashian and Coty to request that they abandon their plans to make use of a mark incorporating probably the most significant elements of Beauty Concepts’ mark Skkn+. Hyram Yarbro is expanding his multichannel influence. Known by his social media followers as “Skin Care by Hyram” and by the Latest York Times as “the Gen Z Whisperer,” Harbro has teamed with podcast network Ramble for a show of his own.  The skincare content creator’s podcast, “Justaposition,” has launched with two episodes available on Spotify, Apple Music and wherever podcasts are streamed. TOKYO — Shiseido said Wednesday it's launching a recent skincare brand called Sidekick, targeting Gen-Z men in Asia. Jaimee Lupton, who founded the “liquid gold” hair care business that has since gone viral and brought in lots of of tens of millions in sales, is bringing one other brand to the usbeauty market.
