A grand opening is ready for Fe Noel Little Caribbean on June 10 at 1133 Nostrand Avenue in Brooklyn’s “Little Caribbean” neighborhood. That is familiar territory for the designer, who apart from being of Grenadian heritage grew up and began her company within the neighborhood. 2022 Essence Festival of Culture held in Recent Orleans, Louisiana- July 1-3, 2022 St.Martin natives Chef Kareem Brooks and Chef Kénila Hyman gave a culinary demonstration in the course of the first-ever ESSENCE Eats Food And Wine Festival on the 2022 ESSENCE Festival of Culture. The chefs taught participants the way to make a number of tasty staple dishes from the Caribbean island, including traditional favorites like dumplings with crab, johnny cakes (or journey cakes) and saltfish.
