Catching Up With Taeyong, More Rihanna for Vuitton, AmfAR

A BRIEF CHAT: Seems getting five minutes with Taeyong takes almost an hour. Everyone desired to get a photograph with the K-pop star after Saturday’s Loewe show, where he made his first appearance as global brand ambassador. Together with designer Jonathan Anderson, he was swamped by photographers — and starstruck guests who desired to snap selfies — after the show. It wasn’t his first Loewe show. Taeyong attended Jonathan Anderson’s show last season as well. He’s been a longtime fan of the brand, and admitted that on his first trip to Paris he made a visit to the Loewe store to choose up a Puzzle bag. “I feel that marked the start of this special journey with Loewe that led as much as...

Catching Up With Hunter Bell

Since 2006, Hunter Bell has been designing playfully feminine fashions for her namesake contemporary label.  “After I began the road out of my small apartment, it wasn’t only a bunch of dresses. Bell launched her company in Recent York City before relocating to Houston in 2015 and has since gained traction for her novelty touches and...

Designer Isabella Kron cut her teeth across the style industry for 25 years, working for the likes of Giorgio Armani, Calvin Klein, Gucci (under the creative director of Tom Ford) and Tom Ford (again, under his own label). Catching Up With Theory Project’s Lucas Ossendrijver

Transitioning from a luxury European brand to a more business American label has been a learning experience for Lucas Ossendrijver — one which he’s embraced with gusto. Since being tapped by Theory in the summertime of 2021 to design Theory Project, men’s and ladies’s capsule collections, Ossendrijver has immersed himself within the aesthetic of the Latest York-based brand. And while Theory and Lanvin, where he spent 14 years as director of menswear, operate completely in another way, Ossendrijver believes he has found a formula to successfully bridge the 2 worlds. “It’s a special way of working,” the designer said from his studio in Paris. “The client and the size are different. Theory is an element of a giant company and I now work...
