Hailey Bieber Hires Former Honest Co. Chief Nick Vlahos
Hailey Bieber is filling out Rhode’s C-suite. The founder, chairwoman and artistic director of Rhode has hired Nick Vlahos as chief executive officer, effective immediately. “Nick has a proven track record of growing firms and his expertise in innovation, distribution, global expansion and team development are going to be instrumental as we proceed on to our next chapter of accelerated growth,” Bieber said in a press release. Vlahos was most recently CEO on the Honest Co., Jessica Alba’s brand, a tenure that culminated in an initial public offering that valued the business at $2.1 billion. MAC Cosmetics’ former global brand president has a latest gig. Philippe Pinatel, who previously helmed the makeup powerhouse on the Estée Lauder Cos., is heading to Merit Beauty, Katherine Power’s minimalist beauty brand that debuted in early 2021. Glossier CEO Emily Weiss Steps Down – WWD
Emily Weiss is stepping down as Glossier‘s chief executive officer. In line with a blog post Weiss penned on Glossier’s website, chief business officer Kyle Leahy will take the highest slot, effective immediately. Weiss will stay on as executive chairwoman. A spokesperson for the brand confirmed the shift, but declined to comment further. “I'll at all times be Glossier’s founder.
