Josie Natori Named Chairman of Asian Cultural Council’s Board

PULLING UP A CHAIR: Never one with a shortage of things to do, Josie Natori is taking over one other hefty responsibility. The Asian Cultural Council’s board of trustees has elected the dressmaker as its latest chairman. Removed from a newcomer to the organization, Natori, who was born within the Philippines, has served on ACC’s board since 1995. Five years later she helped establish its Philippines Foundation and ACC’s affiliate office in Manila. That location is considered one of the organization’s five international offices. Having began her namesake company 46 years ago, Natori, chief executive officer and chief creative officer, is as tireless as ever. The Common Ground (and Chairman) Between Nike and Disney

The Magic Kingdom is getting somewhat extra dose of that Just Do It spirit — and it just might need it now greater than ever. Walt Disney Co. shareholders are expected to raise Mark Parker to chairman at the corporate’s annual meeting Monday — giving Nike Inc.’s executive chairman one other spot at the highest of America’s corporate hierarchy.   Parker, who led Nike as chief executive officer for 14 years before taking over his current role in 2020, has been on Disney’s board since 2016.
