Chanel and Lincoln Center Reveal 2023 BAAND Together Dance
The BAAND Together Dance Festival is returning to Lincoln Center for its third summer. The five-day outdoor festival, made possible by Chanel, will feature performances by several of Recent York’s top dance firms including Ballet Hispánico, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, American Ballet Theatre, Recent York City Ballet and Dance Theatre of Harlem. The entire performances are free and open to the general public as a part of Lincoln Center’s “Summer for the City” programming. The BAAND Together Dance Festival will include the world premiere of a recent duet, “Pas de O’Farill,” choreographed by Pedro Rui and performed by dancers from Ballet Hispánico and Recent York City Ballet. Tribeca Festival and Chanel Announce 2023 Artists Awards Program
The 18th annual Chanel Tribeca Artist Awards Program has debuted an all-female lineup for 2023. Tribeca Festival award winners can be gifted original works created by artists chosen for this system by curator Racquel Chevremont. This yr’s artists include Ana Benaroya, Beverly Fishman, Christie Neptune, Lisa Lebofsky, Natia Lemay, Patricia Encarnacion, Renee Cox, Sheree Hovsepian, Shinique Smith and Wanda Raimundi-Ortiz. Their artwork can be exhibited throughout the film festival, which runs June 7 through June 18 at Spring Studios.  “Our focus is on giving women in the humanities their flowers and celebrating their trailblazing contributions to contemporary art,” Chevremont said in a press release announcing this yr’s program.
