Karlie Kloss’ Estée Lauder Deal Goes Deep

For entrepreneurial model Karlie Kloss, a job as global spokesmodel and brand ambassador for the Estée Lauder brand is “a natural fit.” “Estée was this iconic American entrepreneur and an actual trailblazer — the story is something I’ve at all times been inspired by,” Kloss, who has founded and oversees her own production company and a philanthropic initiative, told WWD in an exclusive interview the day her appointment was revealed. “There’s a whole lot of shared values between [the Estée Lauder brand] and in my brand and businesses.” This isn’t Kloss’ first beauty contract. OSEA Is Reportedly Exploring a Deal, Sale

One other beauty brand is hitting the market, WWD has learned. Pioneering “clean” skincare brand OSEA has reportedly tapped Raymond James because it explores deal options, in keeping with industry sources. Each OSEA and Raymond James declined to comment. Financo, now a component of Raymond James, handled OSEA’s first deal in 2021. The brand landed a minority investment from Cavu Enterprise Partners, which also holds stakes in skincare brands Nécessaire and Topicals. Sources pegged the brand’s net sales at around $100 million annually, about a fair split between retail and the brand’s website. LVMH Lands Deal to Create Rihanna Makeup

The Kendo division of LVMH Moët Hennesy Louis Vuitton has landed a take care of Rihanna, one among the hottest-selling celebrities on this planet of licensing, to do an entire makeup collection. As one veteran cosmetics executive observed, “the whole lot together with her is off the charts.” Estimates of what LVMH can have paid to make the deal run as high as $10 million. Kendo, which functions as an incubator producing products that find yourself being retailed by LVMH’s Sephora perfumery chain and other outposts, will launch a Rihanna makeup range, called Fenty Beauty by Rihanna, in the autumn of 2017. HARBOR LIGHTS: After the Pont Neuf bridge in Paris, Pharrell Williams will land in one other spectacular location for his second runway show as creative director of menswear at Louis Vuitton. The French luxury brand said on Monday that its men’s pre-fall collection will likely be unveiled against the backdrop of Hong Kong’s Victoria Harbor, on a piece of Avenue of the Stars belonging to K11 Musea, the luxurious lifestyle complex founded by entrepreneur Adrian Cheng’s Latest World Development.  Referred to as K11 Victoria Dockside, it borders the Tsim Sha Tsui East waterfront and is a component of an area often known as the Art and Design district of the town.
