Dedcool and Jen Atkin’s Ouai Launch Melrose Place Laundry

Dedcool founder Carina Chaz actually really likes laundry day. At the very least she’s began to since expanding her nice fragrance brand to incorporate a line of detergents — dubbed Dedtergents — which aim to raise the at-times mundane task of doing laundry through unexpected scents and eco-friendly formulas. And on Tuesday, Jen Atkin’s Ouai is getting in on the motion, too: The hair care brand has partnered with Chaz to bring its loved Melrose Place fragrance — which incorporates notes of bergamot, lychee, cedarwood and white musk — to the Dedtergent game in a limited-edition Dedtergent retailing for $14 for two ounces or $35 for 32 ounces. “Fragrance is a big a part of Ouai’s DNA. Youth to the People, Dedcool Collaborate for Limited-edition Fragrance

Skincare brand Youth to the People and fragrance brand Dedcool have rather a lot in common.  Each corporations were born in Los Angeles, California, hold sustainability on the forefront of their ethos’ and have sought to constantly subvert the should-be’s of their respective categories for the higher.  So it was only natural when two years ago, the brands decided to team up for a fragrance that might mix their complementary identities, marking each brands’ first fragrance collaboration to this point.  Named Cosmic Release, the limited-edition, collaborative fragrance launches this Thursday on each brands’ web sites and retails for $100 for a 1.7-oz. bottle.  Mixing notes of violet, jasmine and rosemary with amyris, vetiver, cedar and patchouli, Cosmic Release is gender-neutral and seeks to embody...
