Pascal Houdayer Departs Orveon

Pascal Houdayer is departing Orevon as chief executive officer, WWD has learned. The manager was brought on to guide the then newly formed Orveon in the summertime of 2021, after its parent company, Advent International, acquired BareMinerals, Laura Mercier and Buxom from Shiseido Americas for $700 million.  Those brands now sit under Orveon and, until recently, Houdayer was actively looking for two skincare brands so as to add to its roster. “We're seeing actually in Q4 an acceleration of talks. Tula CEO Savannah Sachs Departs Brand – WWD

Savannah Sachs, skincare brand Tula’s chief executive officer, is departing the corporate. Her resignation is effective Aug. 22, P&G Beauty confirmed. “It’s with mixed emotion that I’m sharing after five incredible years with Tula Skincare I’ve decided to maneuver on and find my next adventure,” Sachs wrote in a LinkedIn post Tuesday night. “I’ll be excited to observe Tula proceed to grow from afar and wish to thank Colin Walsh for helping out as Tula’s interim CEO as I wrap up my final weeks here and all of our Procter & Gamble partners for supporting me.” Walsh is the second head of P&G’s specialty beauty division. Robert Liptak Departs L.A. Brand RTA

Robert Liptak has departed his creative director role at Los Angeles brand RTA, WWD has learned. The previous senior designer for ladies’s ready-to-wear at Tom Ford joined the brand in June 2022, with the goal of elevating it in fashion direction and workmanship. “RTA was very dark and Gothic. I’m bringing more sexiness, playfulness and mystery,” said Liptak, who also held positions at Saint Laurent, Anthony Vaccarello and Rick Owens. Established in L.A. in 2013, RTA, which stands for Road to Awe, previously had a rock-‘n’-roll streetwear vibe, with a lot of leather, logos and crosses but not much character. Marc Rey Departs Beautycounter – WWD

Marc Rey is stepping down because the chief executive officer of unpolluted beauty brand Beautycounter after just over a yr within the job. The corporate didn't provide any reason for the departure, only stating that, “Rey and the board have mutually decided to transition to a latest phase of leadership for Beautycounter.” The corporate is currently trying to find his successor and within the meantime, board director Mindy Mackenzie has been appointed interim CEO. Mackenzie most recently served as partner and chief performance officer at Carlyle, which acquired a majority stake Beautycounter in 2021 in a $1 billion deal.
