Today on AD, Margot Robbie takes us behind the scenes of ‘Barbie’ for an exclusive tour of the Barbie Dreamhouse. When tasked with bringing these iconic childhood toys to life on the massive screen, Greta Gerwig enlisted the talents of production designer Sarah Greenwood and set decorator Katie Spencer. Taking inspiration from Palm Springs midcentury modernism they’ve created a whimsical fuchsia pink fantasy where slides replace stairs and there’s not a wall in sight–when touring this impressive set it’s hard to not feel a rush of playful nostalgia as Greta states “I desired to capture what was so ridiculously fun concerning the Dreamhouses." Barbie Dreamhouse Experience to Touch Down at JK Iguatemi

Barbie is taking her imaginary world to Iguatemi, the Brazilian shopping mall that incessantly serves because the port of entry for luxury brands entering Latin America. Starting July 13, Iguatemi, in partnership with Mattel, will introduce the international installation, “Barbie Dreamhouse Experience,” for the primary time in South America. Spanning an area of nearly 7,000 square feet, the Barbie Dreamhouse Experience is an in-person, life-size recreation of Barbie’s iconic pink mansion. The Experience will feature interactive rooms similar to a glamorous closet stuffed with fashion looks and a dream kitchen. Entry is ticketed. courtesy shot.
