Christine Dagousset Exits Chanel – WWD

Christine Dagousset, the worldwide open innovation officer of Chanel, has left the corporate, WWD has learned. Dagousset, who couldn't be reached for comment, is a beauty industry veteran who joined the corporate in 1998 as senior vice chairman of world skincare, and quickly rose through the ranks. In 2014, she was named global president of the fragrances and sweetness division, a position she held for 4 years before being named global long-term development officer.  In that role, she developed and implemented long-term business initiatives and built innovation capabilities for Chanel, including minority investments. Smashbox Exits U.K. and Ireland – WWD

Smashbox, the Los Angeles-born cosmetics brand best known for its primers, is pulling out of the U.K. and Ireland, a key beauty market. “An accumulation of challenges has sadly been greater than our business can withstand and we’ve needed to make the heart-breaking decision to now not accept orders within the U.K. and Ireland starting September 29, 2022. We’ve loved being a component of your creativity and expression and we’re endlessly grateful,” it posted on Twitter Wednesday. Giambattista Valli CEO Exits After Three-year Stint

Charlotte Werner, chief executive officer at Giambattista Valli, is exiting the role after three years for a “recent challenge.” Her next move couldn't immediately be learned. Valli officials couldn't immediately be reached for comment. Werner revealed her departure on her LinkedIn page. “I'm very pleased with what we've got achieved with the team,” she wrote. “I began my journey with the maison in 2020, right in the course of the COVID-19 crisis. Roz Brewer is stepping down from the helm of Walgreens Boots Alliance and its board after two and a half years as the corporate dives deeper into health care, with each parties stressing that the choice was mutual. The board has appointed Ginger Graham, current lead independent director, as the corporate’s interim chief executive officer while it conducts a seek for a everlasting candidate.
