Ulta Beauty Raises Full-year Guidance – WWD
After a slew of weaker than expected results from the sweetness sector, Ulta bucked the trend, raising its full-year outlook on the back of a powerful second quarter. “Through the quarter, we drove growth across all major categories, increased the variety of loyalty members, and strengthened engagement with the Ulta Beauty brand,” said Dave Kimbell, chief executive officer. “The wonder category has continued to deliver healthy growth, as consumers maintain their post-pandemic routines and expand their definition of beauty.”  The wonder retailer now expects net sales to are available in at a spread between $11.05 billion and $11.15 billion. E.l.f. Beauty ended last 12 months with a bang, ringing in its sixteenth consecutive quarter of sales growth and enabling it to once more raise its full-year outlook. While the U.S.’s uncertain economic backdrop could also be weighing on some, especially within the prestige sector, the Oakland, California-based mass beauty company saw double-digit sales growth across all key categories. Symrise Raises PARIS ­– Symrise Raises On the back of a powerful third quarter, Symrise AG has raised its full-year 2022 guidance yet again. The German fragrance and flavors supplier said in a press release on Wednesday that sales growth across each of its divisions was more robust than expected, up 13.6 percent overall on an organic basis to 975.2 million euros within the three months ended Sept. 30. In reported terms, sales rose 26.4 percent. Symrise’s Scent and Care division’s activity was spurred by the fragrance and fantastic fragrance activities, while demand for hygiene and oral care products was lower than in 2021.
