Yara Shahidi Is Fronting the Gaultier Divine Fragrance: EXCLUSIVE
PARIS — Yara Shahidi is fronting Jean Paul Gaultier’s latest women’s fragrance Gaultier Divine, due out starting in August. “I actually have been a fan of Gaultier’s house for some time,” the multihyphenate actress, model, activist, social justice advocate and feminist told WWD. “I used to be at all times inspired by how they really made probably the most of the creative medium. “So, once I was approached with this, it was not only coming from a brand that I loved, but creatively they were proposing something really exciting — putting together this team of humans that I love within the creative field,” continued Shahidi, referring to the likes of Tess McMillan, Lola Rodriguez, Thando Hopa, Janet Jumbo and Ana Elisa Brito. “What...

Jean Paul Gaultier Is the Visual Guru Behind Recent
Jean Paul Gaultier still has a taste for fashion’s outer fringes: As curator and visual design director of the subsequent cabaret-style revue at Berlin’s Friedrichstadt-Palast, Gaultier conscripted the alien-looking Canadian couple often known as Fecal Matter, and the Russian performance artist Sasha Frolova, synonymous with latex and abstract forms. “Falling | In Love” is the title for the show, billed as the costliest ever mounted by the state theater owned by the City of Berlin. The production budget was nearly 14 million euros and the show debuts on Sept. 21. The project represents an encore for Gaultier, who had designed around 500 costumes for “The One” revue that opened in 2016, fulfilling a childhood dream. A dressing up design by Jean Paul Gaultier. Kylie Jenner Fronts Jean Paul Gaultier Fashion Campaign
SAY IT WITH FLOWERS: Kylie Jenner describes herself as a “JPG girl” lately. After donning a fiery red gown by Jean Paul Gaultier’s spring guest couturier Haider Ackermann for the recent Met Gala, and a black-and-white one for the after parties, the TV personality and wonder entrepreneur is back fronting a campaign for the style house’s latest ready-to-wear drop. Although the gathering is dubbed “Flowers,” Jenner donned a blush-colored, lingerie-style slip with pointy cups and posed for photographer Elizaveta Podorina. In accordance with Florence Tétier, creative director of Jean Paul Gaultier fashion, Jenner matched “the representation of a contemporary mermaid that I used to be searching for” and her idea for the gathering of “augmented nature with the floral references taken from the...
