LONDON — Mohamed Al Fayed, the previous owner of Harrods, the Ritz in Paris and Fulham Football Club, died Friday at 94 years old. “Everyone at Fulham was incredibly saddened to learn of the death of our former Owner and Chairman, Mohamed Al Fayed. We owe Mohamed a debt of gratitude for what he did for our Club, and our thoughts now are along with his family and friends at this sombre time,” said Fulham FC in an announcement on social media. Swedish label J.Lindeberg is polishing its fashion credentials with the launch of a three-month summer pop-up at Harrods this week. The 280-square-foot space will offer a number of the summer holiday collection, which is inspired by the colourful spirit of Miami and the laid-back atmosphere of the Swedish west coast. The space is accompanied by a window display featuring two melting purple coconut trees, with a blue polo shirt and a pair of zebra shorts hanging on one among them. LONDON — Celine has launched its specialized Haute Parfumerie space at Harrods in Knightsbridge. On the bottom floor in the sweetness hall, Celine’s counter sits brightly lit in its golden light reflecting off of the perfume glass and monochrome interiors stocking fragrances, candles, soaps, in addition to accessories to go with the items, from a small perfume bottle chain necklace to a Celine candle trimmer to hair accessories. The gilded counter is in a luxury position within the hall, sitting side by side with Le Labo and Hermès. Harrods’ Latest Lingerie Space Is an Ode to Luxury,
LONDON — Harrods’ womenswear blitz has begun with the opening this week of a “Lingerie and Lounge Universe,” a part of a 200 million pounds-plus, 10-year store-wide refurbishment. The primary-floor space, which spans roughly 16,000 square feet, is 50 percent larger than the previous one. It offers a broader collection of lingerie, sleep and lounge wear; larger dressing rooms with sympathetic, three-way lighting; and soft-edged interiors by David Collins Studio. It's the primary reopening on the womenswear floor, which might be progressively refurbished in a longterm project set to wrap up in 2026. Some 47 brands are on offer, 14 of that are latest to Harrods. There are also exclusives from bestselling brand Olivia Von Halle and from Aubade’s latest Elie Saab collaboration....
