African Pride Launches Initiative To Provide Hair Products To

Black women can spend up to 4x more on haircare than women in other racial groups, with the average cost coming out to about 18% of their yearly income on products and maintenance alone. African Pride recognizes this, and has stepped in to alleviate that heavy strain on cash-strapped college students. The legacy haircare brand recently announced the return of its partnership 7-year-old partnerhship with Impressions of Beauty, a multicultural college marketing company, to supply free products to school students. E.l.f. Skin Pledges $50,000 to Billie Jean King Leadership

In honor of the fiftieth anniversary of Billie Jean King’s milestone “Battle of the Sexes” win over former number-one tennis player Bobby Riggs, E.l.f. Skin is donating $50,000 to the Billie Jean King Leadership Initiative. Established by King and fellow tennis player Ilana Kloss in 2014, the nonprofit goals to advertise inclusivity and equal pay across the workforce. “Billie Jean King has spent her life championing women and impacting positive change,” said Patrick O’Keefe, vp of integrated marketing communications at E.l.f. Beauty. In 1973, King formed the Women’s Tennis Association and won equal prize money for female tennis players on the U.S. Open. Puig Joining the Sustainable Markets Initiative Task Force 

PARIS —  Puig is joining the Sustainable Markets Initiative Task Force, a private-sector coalition geared toward accelerating the transition toward a more sustainable future. The Odd Teams With The Solutions Project for Slowvember
