Evolvetogether Raises Seed Investment – WWD

Personal care brand Evolvetogether, launched by Cynthia Sakai in the course of the pandemic with masks that were worn by the likes of Justin Bieber and Vice President Kamala Harris, has secured funding from some well-known names in the wonder industry. The seed round was led by True Beauty Ventures, with participation from G9 Ventures and Gregg Renfrew, the founding father of Beautycounter, which was acquired by The Carlyle Group in 2021 in a deal that valued it at $1 billion.  Terms of the investment weren't disclosed, but sources told WWD Evolvetogether is heading in the right direction to hit $10 million in sales. Shine Talent Group Launches Angel Investment Fund – WWD

Jess Hunichen and Emily Ward, the cofounders of influencer talent management agency Shine Talent Group, are launching an angel investment fund for early-stage start-ups in women’s health, in addition to other categories.  “We're excited to take a position in daring founders and offer them unique insights concerning the content creation space, together with a built-in marketing microphone, which many other funds don’t have,” said Ward. “We’re searching for ambitious founders which can be exceptional storytellers, with firms featuring strong social proof and community engagement.” Shine Ventures will reveal a latest category of focus every year. GlossGenius Gains Series C Investment – WWD

GlossGenius, a software platform for beauty salons, has raised $28 million in series C funding. The equity round was led by L Catterton Growth Fund, with participation from Bessemer Enterprise Partners and Imaginary Ventures at a $510 million valuation. Launched in 2016 by Princeton graduate Danielle Cohen-Shohet, GlossGenius’s technology manages small business’ end-to-end workflows across their back-office and front-office resembling payments, bookings, inventory, expenses, marketing, communications, analytics, web site design and more. Based on L Catterton, it serves around 50,000 beauty professionals within the U.S. currently. Talm Raises Minority Investment From Caudalie Founders: EXCLUSIVE –

PARIS — Talm ­— the premium French skincare brand to be used before, during and after pregnancy — has raised its first round of funding to assist bolster expansion. Mathilde and Bertrand Thomas, cofounders of Caudalie, took a minority stake within the high-end dermocosmetics brand for mothers-to-be and mothers. Financial terms of the deal weren't disclosed. Talm is an acronym for “to all of the mamas.” It was launched in September 2021 by Kenza Keller, a luxury beauty executive who recently served as Byredo’s international marketing director.
