Daddario and Dior, Auctioning Karl in Paris, Prince Louis

DIOR ADORES DADDARIO: Dior has named its newest ambassador. Actress Alexandra Daddario, of “Anne Rice’s Mayfair Witches,” “White Lotus” and “True Detective” fame, has been named an envoy for Dior women’s fashion, in addition to the La Collection Privée fragrance collection. A press release from the brand said, “Alexandra will partner with the home, celebrating the designs and creations of girls’s creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri and supporting Dior Beauty within the fragrance category, specifically La Collection Privée Christian Dior.” That collection includes Gris Dior, which, as reported, just unveiled a campaign including Jenna Ortega, Thuso Mbedu, Maya Hawke, Joseph Quinn, Fai Khadra, Liu Yuxin and Orelsan. Knowing that May can’t come soon enough for Karl Lagerfeld fans and Met Gala gawkers alike, the Metropolitan Museum of Art has shared more details about The Costume Institute’s spring exhibition. “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty” will bow within the museum’s Tisch Galleries on May 5 and can run through July 16. Because the name suggests, the show will trace the aesthetic and conceptual themes that continually surfaced in his collections from the ’50s up until his death in 2019. Éric Pfrunder, Karl Lagerfeld’s Photography Wingman, Dies at 74

Éric Pfrunder Éric Pfrunder, Karl Lagerfeld’s closest creative associate for his varied photography projects, died Monday in a Paris hospital at age 74 after an extended illness, his son Jasper confirmed to WWD. Services are scheduled for Friday at 3:30 p.m. on the Church of Saint-Germain-des-Prés.
