LuisaViaRoma Appoints Recent CEO
MILAN — LuisaViaRoma has appointed Tommaso Maria Andorlini its latest chief executive officer because the Italian luxury retailer eyes further development and international growth. He succeeds Alessandra Rossi, who joined the corporate in October 2021, following the closing of the cope with Milan-based private equity firm Style Capital, which acquired a 40 percent stake in the corporate. Before the acquisition the CEO role was held by Andrea Panconesi, whose grandmother Luisa Jaquin opened a small boutique on Florence’s Via Roma in 1929. FLORENCE – 4 years after its 90th anniversary celebrations and fashion show with Carine Roitfeld, LuisaViaRoma returned to the panoramic Piazzale Michelangelo square here to stage the “Runway Icons” event with British Vogue on Wednesday. SHOWTIME: LuisaViaRoma is able to bring its showmanship back to Florence, with plans to stage a blockbuster event during Pitti Uomo. The posh retailer — which is thought for throwing buzzy gala soirées with UNICEF in Capri and St. Barths with performances from the likes of Jennifer Lopez, Drake, Lenny Kravitz and Dua Lipa — is to carry “Runway Icons” on June 14. LuisaViaRoma Secures Lease for Manhattan Retail Destination
MILAN — LuisaViaRoma is headed to the U.S. and certain with its first international door. Leasing advisory firm Mona said Friday that the Italian e-tailer, part of personal equity firm Style Capital’s portfolio, has inked a long-term lease for a 7,855-square-foot retail space at 1 Bond Street in Manhattan’s NoHo neighborhood. The yearly rent rate stands at $3.2 million, the advisory firm said, and includes the lease of a 5,000-square-foot space on the constructing’s lower level. Representatives for LuisaViaRoma didn't immediately reply to request for comments. Neighboring such retailers as Showfields and Kith and across the road from hip members club Zero Bond, the shop would mark LuisaViaRoma’s second outpost globally, flanking the prevailing unit on Florence’s Via Roma which opened in 1929.
