MILAN — Get your gel and hair wax ready, folks. As recent takes on tailoring paraded on the runway during Milan Fashion Week, classic hairstyles got tweaked in beauty, too, with wet hair, slicked-back tufts and fancy headbands spicing things up in the boys’s grooming department. The opening show of the week, Valentino, set the mood due to hair stylist Guido Palau’s selection of parting hair in three sections and gelling back the central one for a flat and extra-sleek effect. FIRST TIME: Testoni, the Italian luxury footwear and leather goods brand, is opening its first Italian boutique at 11 Via Gesù during Milan Men’s Fashion Week. The 864-square-foot space includes two large rooms and a reserved room dedicated to made to order. Founded in 1929 in Bologna, a city within the Emilia Romagna region, by Amedeo Testoni, with this latest store the brand is unveiling a latest concept, while all the time maintaining the tradition of its hometown. Moschino Staging fortieth Anniversary Show in Milan in September
MILAN — Moschino is planning a fashion show to be staged in Milan on Sept. 21 that can mark the brand’s 40th anniversary. The event during Milan Fashion Week is conceived to pay tribute to “the remarkable achievements” of founder Franco Moschino “and his enduring legacy,” said the corporate. Stylists Carlyne Cerf de Dudzeele, Katie Grand, Gabriella Karefa-Johnson and Lucia Liu will spearhead this season’s collection, each creating 10 contemporary looks inspired by the works of the late designer. Moschino has not yet announced a successor to the newest creative director, Jeremy Scott, who exited the brand in March after 10 years.
