Metaverse Fashion Week Coming to Milan’s Piazza del Duomo

Augmented reality metaverse Over is planning a fashion and tech takeover of the Piazza del Duomo in Milan on March 31, with a hybrid fashion show and other events on the closing day of Decentraland’s Metaverse Fashion Week, the corporate announced early Saturday morning. Over, also often called OVR, is considered one of the cohosts of MVFW. With support from the Municipality of Milan, the event will happen IRL as a featured attraction of MVFW with brands spanning emerging and established fashion firms, including Gucci Vault x Pet Liger, Pinko, Balmain x Space Runners’ Unicorn NFT collection, Ilona Song x Vogue Singapore, Ecoolska and XR Couture participating in talks, presentations or the hybrid runway show. Pinko’s Latest Store Adds Splash of Fuchsia to Milan’s

Galleria Vittorio MILAN – Galleria Vittorio  An all-fuchsia space marks Pinko’s retail debut in Milan’s storied luxury shopping arcade Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II. The Italian contemporary fashion brand joins a series of high-end labels including Prada, and Fendi to Louis Vuitton, Saint Laurent and Moncler, on the sought-after destination. Pinko’s store opening on Thursday followed the announcement earlier this week that Chanel will expand its presence on the shopping arcade. To mark its arrival on the Galleria, Pinko has developed a dedicated retail format centered on products exclusive to the store, mostly limited-edition iterations of its signature Love Bag, which has a circular buckle embellished with two tiny birds. Prada to Join Milan’s Tree Plantation Project Forestami

PRADA TREES: Prada’s sustainability credentials are increasingly trickling right down to socially charged projects. Starting in 2023, the posh brand will link with Forestami, a project spearheaded by Milan’s municipality, the Lombardy region and other territorial entities to plant 3 million trees in town by 2030 and safeguard its natural environment. The tie-up, group head of corporate social responsibility Lorenzo Bertelli explained, marks “a step forward reflecting the Prada Group’s attention to the environment and the community where it operates.
