Levi Strauss Names Snap’s Kenny Mitchell Chief Marketing Officer
Levi Strauss & Co. has turned to the world of social media and Snap for its latest head of promoting.  The denim giant named Kenny Mitchell senior vice chairman and chief marketing officer of the Levi’s brand starting June 5.  Most recently, Mitchell was chief marketing officer at Snapchat parent Snap, where he led the expansion of the corporate’s global community, promoting base and developer partners. Before Snap, he held executive positions at McDonald’s USA and Gatorade for a brand-building profession spanning greater than 20 years.   Mitchell will report back to president Michelle Gass, who's preparing to take over the role of chief executive officer from Chip Bergh and is currently running the namesake business. Tapestry Names Alan Lau to Board of Directors
Tapestry Inc. has named Alan Lau to the board of directors, bringing the entire variety of board members to 11. Lau became chief business officer for Animoca Brands last July, a gaming company where he oversees and provides support to the corporate’s greater than 340 portfolio corporations and leads M&A and business development. Earlier, he was chairman and chief executive officer of Tencent WeSure, a fintech company that he cofounded to supply web insurance to WeChat users. Before that, he was Asia head for McKinsey Digital, supporting each Big Tech corporations and sector incumbents to execute their digital strategies. CFDA Names 16 Interim Members
The Council of Fashion Designers of America has added 16 interim members to its roster. The CFDA established the brand new — by invitation, temporary three-year term — interim tier of membership in 2022 to create support for designers who've been in business lower than five years as a pipeline to CFDA membership. The unique group of twenty-two interim designers is now 20. One became a full member and one other inactive. Along with access to full member advantages, the interim members are supplied with opportunities, resources, introductions and one-on-one mentorship based on needs and goals. Kitty and Vibe Names Three Creative Designers and Celebrity Investors
Kitty and Vibe, the Austin, Texas-based inclusive swimwear brand with a first-to-market sizing metric, has named its first celebrity investors and firstclass of creative designers. Comedian Nicole Byer, actress Zoe Colletti and skilled tennis player Sloane Stephens will each design an exclusive swimsuit print and magnificence inspired by their respective personalities and private styles. The swimsuits might be available inside the brand’s swimwear lineup. Byer, Colletti and Stephens’ collections will launch for summer 2023.
