LVMH Signs on as Premium Partner of Paris 2024

PARIS – Capping months of speculation, LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton on Monday signed on to grow to be a premium partner of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, guaranteeing the world’s biggest luxury group prime visibility throughout the planetary event, including its eagerly awaited opening ceremony. While LVMH didn't disclose the financial terms of the sponsorship deal, sources with knowledge of the matter said it had put 150 million euros on the table. Organizers are billing the Paris Games as “the largest event on the earth,” expected to attract 4 billion TV viewers, 13 million spectators and 20,000 journalists. A Swim Cap Made For Black Hair Gets Approval

Uwe Krejci/ Getty Images Swimming caps specifically designed for Black hair have been approved by the world’s governing body for the game, NPR reports. The Soul Cap was developed to offer higher fit and chlorine protection for thicker, curlier hair. The creators of the British brand sought approval for the product before the Summer Olympics in Tokyo in 2021. Nonetheless, they were rejected by the swimming federation, referred to as FINA. FINA claimed that athletes competing on the world stage have “never used, neither require to make use of, caps of such size and configuration,” based on The Associated Press.  The organization also said that the cap doesn't “[follow] the natural type of the top,” a rule outlined in FINA’s requirements for approved swimwear.  The backlash to...
