Institut Français de la Mode Students Open Paris Men’s,

Institut Français de la Mode Students Open Paris Men’s,
Paris Debut: For the primary time, the BA students of the Institut Français de la Mode opened the boys’s schedule of Paris Fashion Week with a runway show presenting their graduate collections. The college’s MA students have been opening the ladies’s shows in March since 2021. The looks were spectacular, broaching topics that ranged from androids and pageantry to faraway escapes and what could sprout after a “best before” date. Techniques and materials were as varied as they arrive, starting from textile and wicker to latex and even cigarette filters sewn together right into a fluffy cocoon. “What I discovered really great — and something we attempt to avoid with [faculty] — is that there isn’t an IFM ‘style,’” said the varsity’s general...

At Smaller Stores, Kohl’s Will Open Scaled-down Sephora Shops

At Smaller Stores, Kohl’s Will Open Scaled-down Sephora Shops
Kohl’s Corp. is creating scaled-down Sephora shops to suit into its smaller locations. For fall 2023, the plan is to have 750-square-foot Sephora shops operating at 50 Kohl’s locations that are on average 35,000 square feet and can be unable to accommodate the everyday 2,500-square-foot Sephora shop-in-shop. Kohl’s full-size stores average 80,000 square feet. The small-format Sephora shops will merchandise products by category fairly than by brand, as seen in traditional Sephora stores and on the Kohl’s Sephora shops-in-shop. “Think better of foundation, better of fragrance, etcetera,” a Kohl’s spokeswoman explained. Among the many brands being merchandised within the smaller formats are, in makeup, Rare Beauty, Fenty Beauty, NARS, Charlotte Tilbury, Sephora Collection, Ilia, Lancôme and Too Faced. The skincare/body care category offers...

SHORT ORDER: Those hankering for an American eatery during Paris Men’s Fashion Week can have their dream turn to reality Friday, due to Billionaire Boys Club’s first pop-up diner, nestled in Dover Street Market’s 3537 cultural center. There, the brand has conceived a retro diner, replete with red vinyl seats, a black-and-white checked floor, indoor/outdoor seating, plus and a menu including baked goods, similar to whoopee pie and homemade pop tarts, plus hotdogs and low. (American caterers were brought in for the fare.) The sign atop a glowing wall clock reads: Satellite Diner — eat in, take out. Even the woodgrain here feels authentic. “The brand’s roots are from this mid-century inspiration, with Googie architecture and Americana, but through a Japanese vision...
