L’Oréal and UC Berkeley Partner for Bioetch Innovation –
PARIS – L’Oréal is bolstering its presence in North America’s innovation ecosystem by partnering with University of California Berkeley’s Bakar Labs, a biotech incubator, with the aim of furthering biotech innovation. Bakar Labs’ startups could have access to L’Oréal’s Research and Innovation resources and expertise in fields similar to skin biology. Adrienne Landau has entered a latest chapter. The 43-year-old luxury fur and accessories brand (now with faux fur) has been reborn as a contemporary lifestyle collection. In a long-term master licensing agreement with Meridian Brands LLC, the Adrienne Landau brand has launched as an expansive collection for fall under the labels Adrienne Landau Quartz and Adrienne Landau Onyx. The collections are differentiated by their price point, fabrics, country of origin and make. Quartz retails from $150 to $1,000, while Onyx goes from $50 to $400. L.A. clothier Rosetta Getty has partnered with Belmond on a latest hotel project. Milaroca Riviera Nayarit on the Pacific Coast of Mexico is predicted to open in 2025, built from the bottom up by a team of designers overseen by Getty. “It’s a dream come true. We’ve been planning it for therefore long and eventually it’s going to be an actual thing,” said Getty, who has been vacationing in the realm north of Puerto Vallarta for twenty years.
