Personal Care Products Council Names Thomas F. Myers CEO
The Personal Care Products Council on Wednesday appointed Thomas F. Myers chief executive officer. The appointment will go into effect in January. Myers, who has been with the council since 2010, acts as executive vice chairman for legal and regulatory affairs and general counsel. Prior to joining the council, he worked at the USA Chamber of Commerce as a regulatory counsel for environment and energy, in addition to in international law. Myers will succeed Lezlee Westine, who has led the council as president and CEO since 2009. Under Westine’s leadership, the PCPC has hosted industry summits, published sustainability reports and most recently, pushed for the Modernization of Cosmetics Regulation Act, which is able to require brands to be more transparent...

P&G’s Freddy Bharucha Named President, North America Personal Care
Freddy Bharucha has been named Procter & Gamble’s first president, North America personal care and wonder operations. Formerly the corporate’s senior vp for its North America personal care division and Old Spice global brand franchise of 5 years, Bharucha will now also lead P&G Beauty’s media efforts, head up its cross-category retail strategy and serve on the board for the Personal Care Products Council. Cosmetics Make Up 46 Percent of TikTok Shop U.K.
Following its official September rollout within the U.S., TikTok Shop ranked because the Twentieth-largest e-commerce health and sweetness retailer throughout the month within the country, in line with NIQ. People — Especially Men — Using More Personal Care Products:
A report released Wednesday by the Environmental Working Group‘s (EWG) and Morning Seek the advice of suggests that private care product usage is up — especially for men. The businesses’ personal care product usage survey showed that since 2004 (when a previous survey was done), personal care product usage has increased significantly. On average, men currently use 11 products a day compared to 6 in 2004, while women use 13 products a day compared to 12 in 2004. “The variety of products has increased since our 2004 original report incrementally for ladies but almost double for the boys,” said Homer Swei, EWG senior vice chairman, healthy living science. “Clearly, the views for private care in men has shifted over the twenty years.”...
