Compass Diversified to Acquire Majority Stake in The Honey
The flurry of beauty and wellness deals so early in 2024 continues. Just days after Puig snapped up Dr. Barbara Sturm, investment firm Compass Diversified revealed it has acquired a majority stake in plant-derived feminine care brand The Honey Pot Company for an enterprise value of $380 million.  Founded in 2012, Atlanta-based The Honey Pot Co. offers products across the female hygiene, menstrual, consumer health and sexual wellness categories that might be present in greater than 33,000 stores across the U.S. including Goal, Walmart, CVS and Walgreens. Annual sales are understood to be around $120 million. The Honey Pot Heads Down South To Bring Pleasure
The Honey Pot September is Sexual Health Month and The Honey Pot Company has the right initiative for HBCUs to mark the observance. The initiative is an element of a partnership with Impressions of Beauty and focuses on protected sex and hookup culture, in addition to sexual pleasure. The vaginal wellness brand is distributing educational materials, sample gifts, custom journals, product discounts, and onsite education. College students have enjoyed classes co-led by THPC’s co-founder Beatrice Dixon and OB-GYNs, authors, activists, and healers.  Up to now, the brand has gone to Clark Atlanta University, Alabama A&M University, Jackson State University, and Xavier University of Louisiana. 2022 Essence Festival of Culture held in Recent Orleans, Louisiana- July 1-3, 2022 St.Martin natives Chef Kareem Brooks and Chef Kénila Hyman gave a culinary demonstration in the course of the first-ever ESSENCE Eats Food And Wine Festival on the 2022 ESSENCE Festival of Culture. The chefs taught participants the way to make a number of tasty staple dishes from the Caribbean island, including traditional favorites like dumplings with crab, johnny cakes (or journey cakes) and saltfish.
