For Its Fourth 12 months, Credo Beauty’s Accelerator Program

Credo Beauty goes to school. For its fourth annual Credo for Change accelerator program, the retailer has partnered with the Fashion Institute of Technology for the primary time to supply students enrolled within the cosmetics and fragrance marketing program profession mentorship and networking access. “After we began Credo for Change, we were very focused on where the industry was underrepresented from a brand founder perspective,” said program manager Shibisha Johnson. “Now, as we begin to take into consideration not only who's on the shelf, but who's within the office, this [partnership] was the natural next place to go along with this work.” The 13-week program will kick off July 7, offering 12 Black, Indigenous, people of color students access to...

Telfar Plans Last Bag Security Program June 16 to 18

Telfar, which launched an infinite preorder that ignored fashion’s logic of exclusivity and scarcity with the Bag Security Program in 2020, is switching gears. From June 16 to 18, Telfar will launch the fifth and final Bag Security Program, and it’s the last likelihood for shoppers to order any bag, in any size and any color, and have it custom made. Telfar plans for the baggage to reach twice as fast as before, starting inside two weeks of preorder, between June 26 and Aug. 31. Glossier, Black Girl Fest Bring Grant Program to the

Glossier isn’t just counting on retail to expand its reach. The U.S.-based beauty brand, which has opened latest retail doors in key markets in addition to kicked off its partnership with Sephora, is expanding its grant program for Black-owned brands to the U.K. in partnership with the culture festival Black Girl Fest. Applications open Monday and shut May 9. From there, five founders can be chosen for a ten,000 pound equity-free grant, and partake in a 12-week curriculum on scaling businesses with access to Glossier’s leadership team and external partners.
