LONDON — Belgian dressmaker Raf Simons revealed Monday on Instagram that he's shutting down his own label after “a unprecedented 27-year journey.” The spring 2023 show staged during Frieze London last month will probably be the designer’s last collection for his own brand. “I lack the words to share how proud I'm of all that we've achieved. I'm grateful for the incredible support from my team, from my collaborators, from the press and buyers, from my family and friends, and from our devoted fans and constant followers. Raf Simons, a famous attendee of Frieze Masters, has locked down a recent date to present his brand’s spring 2023 collection. He'll now stage the show in London on Oct. 13, a day after Frieze London and Frieze Masters open their doors to the general public at Regent’s Park. The brand called off its supposed London debut on Sept. 18, in respect to the death of Queen Elizabeth II. “Because the country enters a period of official mourning, we are going to pause during this time of great sadness.
