Clinique, Mount Sinai Launch Dermatology Center for Sensitive Skin

Clinique, Mount Sinai Launch Dermatology Center for Sensitive Skin
Clinique is diving deeper into its dermatological roots. The Estée Lauder Cos.-owned skincare brand has made a philanthropic commitment of $5 million over seven years to determine the Mount Sinai-Clinique Healthy Skin Dermatology Centre with Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. It should study how skin ages, skin allergies and inflammatory eczematous skin conditions, including eczema and make contact with dermatitis. Through investigating healthy skin, together with the skin of those with atopic dermatitis and other allergic skin disorders, the hope is that researchers may learn tips on how to significantly slow the visible signs of aging in all people in addition to in patients with eczema, who show signs of premature or accelerated aging. Sensitive skincare could also be on the point of an upgrade.  Or, to talk more literally, a downgrade, within the sense that allergist and immunologist Dr. Martin Smith has teamed with Unilever alum Annie Meyer to inaugurate a skincare brand comprising products each made with fewer than 14 ingredients.  Launching Monday, Untoxicated consists of a Clean Start Facial Cleanser, retailing for $17.95, and a Lightweight Hydrate Moisturizing Lotion, $24.95, full of ceramides, hyaluronic acid, arginine and glycolipids — and free from 128 common allergens and irritants liable for a majority of reactions in people, said the founders.  “Our name directs attention to what we do; we wish to be the safest sensitive skincare brand available on the market,” said Smith, adding that two...

Childs Farm, a Brand for Children with Sensitive Skin,

Childs Farm, a Brand for Children with Sensitive Skin,
LONDON – There may be nothing sweet or comforting about eczema, and skincare entrepreneur Joanna Jensen knows that higher than most. Jensen, the founding father of Childs Farm, a top-selling baby and child personal care brand in Britain, was born with the painful, chronic skin condition and one among her young daughters suffered from it, too. A former investment banker, Jensen founded Childs Farm to supply a delicate, sustainably-made, and sweeter-smelling alternative to the steroid creams and emollients that she’d grown up with. She also tried to inject some fun into the packaging, with brilliant colours and pictures of frolicking children and cartoon animals. In 2019, nearly a decade after she launched Childs Farm and after five years on the shelves at...
