Ceremonia Raises M in Series A Led by Sandbridge
Babba Rivera is used to moving fast — but now she’s going into overdrive.   Ceremonia, the Latinx clean hair care brand Rivera launched in 2020, has raised $10 million to support its recent expansion to greater than 500 Sephora stores with a series A investment round led by Sandbridge Capital. That has the buzzy brand working with an investment firm that’s proven to have a knack for large exits with Ilia (sold to the Courtin-Clarins family holding company), Youth to the People (L’Oréal) and Thom Browne (Ermenegildo Zegna). Gap Teams With Mattel for Series of Product Collabs
Count Gap as the most recent company to leap on the Barbie bandwagon. Within the runup to the upcoming release of “Barbie,” a movie starring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling that can open in late May, Gap has teamed with Mattel Inc., on an apparel collaboration tied to the style doll. While Barbie will likely be the primary product drop, the deal announced Wednesday may also include a series of collaborations inspired by Mattel’s portfolio of brands, which incorporates Hot Wheels, American Girl, Thomas & Friends, Masters of the Universe and others. But first up is the Gap x Barbie collection, which launches May 23 and can include an assortment of T-shirts, skirts, logo hoodies, denim, button-downs and accessories in addition to pet apparel....

Fast-facial spot Glowbar Closes  Million Series A –
Facial bars seem like ripe for investment. Not long after Heyday announced its Series B extension, Glowbar, known for its 30-minute, $65 facial, has received a $10 million Series A funding. The round was led by Peterson Partners, a Salt Lake City-based firm whose investments have included Allbirds, Solidcore, Bonobos, Rails Clothing and Madison Reed.  Glowbar was founded in 2019 by Rachel Liverman, a third-generation aesthetician, with services including dermaplaning, chemical peels, extractions and LED. The corporate began with a TriBeCa studio, but now has expanded its Latest York City footprint to the Upper East Side, Union Square and Williamsburg.
