Bandier to Launch Head Sportswear Tennis, Pickleball Lines in U.S.
Bandier is best known for its women’s leggings and trendy activewear. But due to a latest partnership with Head Sportswear, the corporate can add menswear to its mix — at the very least for the summer. Head’s tennis and pickleball summer collections for each men and girls will launch within the U.S. at Bandier’s stores on Melrose in Los Angeles and within the Flatiron district in Latest York City where events will likely be held on July 13 and Aug. 25 respectively. LONDON — Gant is taking its 74-year history across the globe with an exhibition that began in Latest York City, is now in London until Sunday and can finish in Paris later this spring. The showcase traces the brand’s sportswear roots — featuring caps, slogan T-shirts, rugby shirts and documents — at Dijonss, an area created by creative collective Bone Soda in East London that’s often used for installations and activities. “The U.K. and London more specifically is a key marketplace for Gant, each from a business and brand perspective, and we actually felt it has the appropriate audience for this kind of activation. Carol Horn, Sportswear Designer, Dies at 86
Dressmaker Carol Horn, whose signature elongated designs and caftans caught on within the ’60s, died Thursday on the age of 86. The sportswear designer had been under hospice care at Calvary Hospital on the time of her death, in line with her cousins Suzanne Horn and fashion publicist Sally Fischer in a joint interview. Born in Brooklyn, Horn was an only child whose father worked within the housewares industry and whose elegant mother raised her to at all times put her best self forward. She bounced around to multiple schools, including the Calhoun School, Choate Rosemary Hall, Columbia University, Boston University and the Fashion Institute of Technology, amongst others.
