For the autumn season, Recent York-based designer Danielle Guizio embraced the sensation of “home sweet home.” “The gathering is actually an homage to growing up and our teenage years — it’s form of coming into your personal and becoming an adult. Lots of these pieces are inspired by what I might wear after I was younger,” Guizio, who's from Fairfield, Recent Jersey, told WWD. “Lots of the gathering is inspired by womanhood, and coming into that.” A glance from Danielle Guizio fall 2023. Streetwear label C’est Bon began as a passion project for designer Mamadou Bah, who learned about fashion through music and taught himself about sketching, patternmaking and screen-printing. “I saw an area that didn’t really have designers that looked like me,” said Bah, who was born in Guinea and raised in Detroit. “I used to be like, OK I’m into these fashion brands, but there aren’t really Black designers which have major labels inside the space, so I created that. Johnny Schwartz has fashion in his blood. His father is the founding father of ABS by Allen Schwartz, the womenswear brand that he founded in 1982 and sold to an investment firm last 12 months. And his paternal grandmother operated The Town Shop on Latest York’s Long Island. After graduating from Boston University with a level in promoting, Johnny Schwartz cut his teeth at ABS as marketing director for 4 years.
