Highlight on Little High, Little Low

Highlight on Little High, Little Low
Since 2018, designer Rebecca Ravenna has been steadily developing her independent, contemporary fashion label, Little High, Little Low. Originally known for its vintage band T-shirts, the brand took a moment to refresh and enter a latest chapter this yr with an updated assortment of fashionable essentials and a redesigned website, while upholding its direct-to-consumer, slow fashion and ethical business model, sustainable production practices and overarching inspiration from music.  “I believe the meaning of Little High, Little Low has modified barely in a way that before it was about mixing a vintage band tee with Chanel, and that was the literal interpretation,” Ravenna, the founder and inventive director, said, adding the brand name was also a nod to mental health. Highlight on Jonathan Cohen’s Fall 2023 Collection

Highlight on Jonathan Cohen’s Fall 2023 Collection
Jonathan Cohen’s fall collection began by watching a bouquet of peonies bloom inside his Upper East Side boutique. “I loved watching and monitoring the method; we called the gathering ‘The Birth of the Peony,’” he told WWD. But for this yr’s fashion show on the annual amfAR gala in Cannes, she hopes to teach people about among the most iconic looks of the contemporary age, sharing the back story of the big-shouldered Giorgio Armani suit Grace Jones selected for her landmark 1981 album “Nightclubbing,” and of the short, white metallic Paco Rabanne shift Françoise Hardy donned for the quilt of Elle in 1966. Choosing a sharper, more focused show this yr — she has spearheaded the event since 2012 — Roitfeld plans to parade only 17 looks, sharing the back story of every and casting iconic models for extra fashion oomph.
