MILAN — After the unexpected collaboration with Barilla in 2019, GCDS is strengthening its ties with the food industry and partnering with Pepsi. First teased last week when posts with the 2 brands’ logos standing out against a dark background began to flow into on social media, the partnership marks the launch of the Pepsi Zero soft drink in Italy and Southern Europe, including Spain and Portugal. For the occasion, GCDS has reinterpreted the Pepsi can in a special limited edition, which will likely be promoted through a series of activations across Italy, and has developed a dedicated capsule collection of apparel and accessories. As an advocate to assist those facing mental health, substance use and co-occurring disorders, Alexandra Nyman is using fashion as a part of her crusade. The designer behind the LadyCat label is gearing up for the second installment of Break Free NYFW, a gaggle fashion show designed to boost awareness and support mental health initiatives.   The runway show will likely be held Feb. 11 during Latest York Fashion Week at Daylight Studios at 450 West 31st Street. LONDON — Chinese actor Li Yifeng, the face of Prada, Panerai, Remy Martin and L’Oréal Paris, has been detained by the authorities for repeatedly visiting prostitutes, which is against the law in China. In line with the state-run media CCTV, Li’s misconduct, which he confessed, was exposed during a criminal investigation. PARIS — Fashion and fame were two of Andy Warhol’s principal obsessions — and in Paris, the king of Pop Art found a fertile breeding ground for each.
