When 13-year-old Newcastle native Tilly was a baby she lost each her hands to Meningitis Septicaemia. That began a life-long journey to seek out the proper prosthetics. After trying out various NHS-provided offerings and myoelectric options, and finding nothing was adequate, Tilly’s mother put her forward for a chance to assist develop bionics arms with company Open Bionics using latest 3D printing technology.
