Mt. Everest Climber Helps Ukrainian Brand ‘Go Up!’
On the surface, One by One’s latest campaign featuring completed climber Irina Galay looks like one other wintry scene, but its completion required overcoming extreme circumstances. Galay, the primary Ukrainian female to summit Mt. Everest and K2, was recruited to headline the campaign as a way to motivate people to beat their personal peaks. Along with braving subzero temperatures in a snowy Ukrainian forest for the photo shoot, the creative team needed to drive just a few hours outside of Kyiv and go through Bucha and other cities that were decimated by the Russian forces. Ukrainian Designers Fight Russian Invasion With Fashion
A gaggle of Ukrainian designers are attempting to do their part to strengthen the nation’s economy by, if not bulking up their businesses, keeping them running, because the Russian invasion of Ukraine intensifies. Ukraine fashion in Paris is being championed by international fashion consultant Jen Sidary, who began the net platform Angelsforfashion in late March, a month after Russian forces first rolled into Ukraine. From Oct. 1 to six, six Ukrainian designers can be showing their collections in Paris, after Sidary helped line up the Good Six Showroom as a location. Frolov, Kachorovska and Chereshnivska, who've shown in Paris before, will return, while newcomers include Litkovska, My Sleeping Gypsy and Oliz.
