Urban Outfitters Post Solid First-quarter Results
Urban Outfitters Inc. posted a solid first-quarter report card, citing top- and bottom-line gains and momentum on the Free People and Anthropologie groups. Net income for the quarter ended April 30 jumped to $52.82 million from $31.53 million within the year-ago period. Earnings per diluted share rose to $0.56 from $0.33 a yr ago. Total company net sales increased 5.9 percent to $1.11 billion, from $1.05 billion within the year-ago period. The financial report, released after the stock market closed, apparently pleased investors who pushed the share price up 8 percent, or $2.16, to $28.82. “The hostile operating environment of the last three years has finally abated,” Richard A. In a news release, Urban Ed Academy (UEA) recently announced their receipt of a $2.5 million donation from the philanthropist, whose net value reportedly hovers around $20.2B. Scott has already given away nearly $2 billion in donations to greater than 343 organizations, lots of which which are in support of bolstering underserved communities. The Bay-area based organization goals to encourage and support Black men in pursuing a profession in education through their Man the Bay program. The CEO Of Urban Skin Rx Responds To Brand
There was loads of speculation on social media across the skincare brand, Urban Skin Rx — known to acknowledge, represent and advocate for accessible clinical skincare for diverse skin tones.  Questions surrounding the ownership of the brand have been circulating on the web with some questioning whether or not the brand is Black-owned and if it was actually stolen from a Black woman.
