See More of Pregnant Rihanna in Louis Vuitton’s Recent Campaign
NEED FOR SPEEDY: Louis Vuitton has released the complete Rihanna-fronted ad campaign to disclose the vision of Pharrell Williams, its latest men’s creative director. The brand had teased the campaign last week with a large billboard on the side of the Musée d’Orsay, just ahead of Williams’ debut runway show in Paris, which Rihanna attended together with her musician husband A$AP Rocky. Vuitton described the ad images as artifacts “created to change perceptions, challenge history, and evolve an existing legacy. Personified by a pregnant Rihanna – a logo of human empowerment and the quintessential on a regular basis icon – the boys’s campaign reflects the re-contextualization on the core of Pharrell Williams’ approach to the maison.” While that sounds lofty, the campaign essentially...

Louis Vuitton’s Newest California-inspired Scent – WWD
“Thanks for coming to our wedding,” joked Alex Israel, walking through rows of lined benches within the open air, alongside Louis Vuitton’s maître parfumeur Jacques Cavallier-Belletrud. It’s a wedding of artistry; the 2 presented their latest fragrance collaboration, the fifth within the series, Pacific Chill. They faced an audience of influencers and press overlooking the ocean, perched atop the hills of Malibu on Wednesday. “They actually brought the Pacific chill,” remarked a reporter with a chuckle. Nicolas Ghesquière’s first pre-fall runway show for Louis Vuitton will happen on a bridge over storied waters. The April 29 display in Seoul, South Korea, will unfurl after sunset on the Jamsugyo Bridge that spans the Hangang River — and with “Squid Game” director Hwang Dong-hyuk acting as a creative adviser on the show scenography. It marks the primary time the double-decker bridge will host a fashion show, and kicks off a series of initiatives between the posh goods giant and native and national governments to advertise Korea and exalt the waterway, probably the most beloved and scenic elements of Seoul and a lifeblood for thousands and thousands of South Koreans. It also represents one among the primary splashy initiatives of latest Louis...

Chanel Heads to L.A., Plein’s Latest Time, Louis Vuitton’s
CALIFORNIA DREAMING: Add Chanel to the posh brands answering the siren call of California. The French luxury house revealed Saturday that it is going to unveil its cruise 2024 collection in Los Angeles on May 9. Chanel didn't specify the venue for the show, but noted that it presented the cruise 2008 collection designed by its late creative director Karl Lagerfeld inside Santa Monica airport. “This show is a chance for the home to have fun its connections with the City of Angels,” it said in a press release. Chanel’s links with cinema date back to 1931, when movie mogul Sam Goldwyn invited founder Gabrielle Chanel to Hollywood. Her welcoming party on the Los Angeles train station included Greta Garbo, and Chanel would...
