The Bergdorf Goodman Salon Staff Are Headed to Julien

Julien Farel’s Latest York flagship Restore Salon and Spa has absorbed 40 employees from Salon Yoshiko, which occupied the penthouse ninth level of Bergdorf Goodman and closed July 3. Among the many 10,000-square-foot salon’s latest recruits are Kenji Ishimoto, Luis Perez, Stefanie Francois, William Simon and Farel’s newly appointed color director, Parvin Klein. “After I discovered [Salon Yoshiko] was closing, my first thought was to achieve out and see in the event that they were OK — it was a shock,” said Farel, who worked at Bergdorf’s beauty salon himself in 1993 when it was a Fekkai Salon, where he met Klein. Goal Plans to Hire 100,000 Staff for Holidays —

Despite Looming Recession Fears, One-Third of Staff Still Plan

Despite differing opinions from economists paying close attention to the recession, the Great Resignation is forging on. A latest survey from the Conference Board where they spoke with 1,100 staff found that one-third of staff are still actively on the lookout for latest jobs and plan to quit their current ones. 94 percent of those surveyed who reported quitting their company within the last yr have zero regrets. “Despite worries of a recession—and the hiring slowdown and layoffs that usually result from a downturn—the labor market stays strong.
