Morphe Owner Forma Brands Said Considering Options, Including Bankruptcy
Forma Brands, the parent company of Morphe, Lipstick Queen and Jaclyn Hill’s Jaclyn Cosmetics, is considering filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, sources confirmed. People acquainted with the method told WWD that such a move is into account, but stressed that nothing is for certain and that other options are on the table, including out of court agreements with creditors.  A spokesperson for Forma said: “Forma Brands is engaged in constructive discussions with our financial stakeholders regarding ways to strengthen the corporate financially and enable us to bolster our deal with the opportunities we see ahead for our brands. Ushopal Has Acquired Argentum Apothecary – WWD
PARIS ­— Chinese omnichannel brand partner Ushopal has acquired luxury clean British beauty brand Argentum Apothecary. Financial terms of the deal weren't disclosed. Shanghai-based Ushopal, which is billed to be China’s leading luxury beauty brand group, makes a speciality of scaling Gen Z-focused luxury brands in the wonder and wellness space. It formerly had a minority stake in Argentum. The rhythm of investments in clean beauty labels has picked up within the recent past, as consumers increasingly hunt down products which can be transparent and have well-being attributes. On Tuesday, fertility and pregnancy care brand Natalist released its At all times in Awe campaign, which celebrates women’s reproductive journeys from starting to finish. The brand, which was acquired by Everly Health in October 2021, provides products for all stages of reproduction including planning, fertility, pregnancy and postpartum. Its recent campaign goals to showcase the fantastic thing about all of those stages to consumers. “We actually desired to create a campaign that challenged the established order when it got here to fertility and conception,” said Everly Health chief marketing officer and Natalist general manager Jen Dasho.
