It has been two long years since we have gotten to cover one of the best beauty looks on the Golden Globes. The awards show has faced multiple controversies lately, including the 2021 revelation that the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, the previous voting body of the awards, had no Black members; allegations of pay-to-play awards for celebrities and movie studios; and an accusation of sexual harassment against former HFPA president Philip Berk.

The Globes could also be affected by a more-than-dinged repute, but recent owner Dick Clark Productions (of Andy Cohen and Anderson Cooper’s CNN Recent Yr’s Eve) was determined to bring the awards show back from the brink with a brand-new voting body accountable for handing out awards. This 12 months, the Globes returned to television bringing the attendant red carpet and gussied-up celebrities together with it and the exciting night definitely brought hair, makeup, and nail looks to reflect that. Skye Jackson

Skai Jackson, considered one of the night’s early arrivals, pulled off a hair and makeup balancing act along with her straightforward soft waves and nude lip played against a dramatic smoky eye and heavy liner. Her eye look paired beautifully with the silver crystals in her gown.
