The Products Meghan Trainor Loves for Her “Thin, Thin

Everyone has that one skin-care thing they regret doing (or not doing) once they were younger. I, for instance, wish I had moisturized more. Meghan Trainoras she tells Allurewishes she had been nicer to her skin.

The “All About That Bass” singer has been a really busy woman in 2023. She dropped her single “Mother” in January, three months after releasing her most up-to-date album, Takin’ It Back. Trainor can be adding the title of writer to her resume with the discharge of her book, Dear Future Mama, on April 25. After the birth of her first son in 2021, she wrote it for expecting moms. Now, while pregnant along with her second child, she’s also partnering with hair-care brand Nexxus to advertise its Unbreakable Care Collection, a trio of thickening products Trainor loves to make use of on her “thin, thin hair.”

I spoke with the pop singer over Zoom about all things hair and the way her pregnancy has affected her beauty routines.

Allure: What does your hair-care routine currently appear to be? Has it modified through the years?

Meghan Trainor: I do not do anything crazy. I exploit the Nexxus Unbreakable Care line. Once I’m home and I get to have days off with my boy, I try not to wreck it, so I let my hair air dry, do a bun, and call it a day. If I do blow-dry it because we’re going out or doing something with friends, I all the time spray some heat protective spray and the Nexxus root spray on it. I attempt to do less.

I even have the Ouai Leave-In Conditioner to assist brush my hair since it gets so ratty from all of the hairspray my hairstylists put in it. I’m so delicate with my hair now that I brush it like a baby.

Allure: Though you’re known for being a blonde, you’ve got modified your hair color a number of times. Do you propose on experimenting more?

Trainor: I will keep on with being a blonde. I went red once, and that did lot of injury to my hair. I’m a blondie, and I will all the time be a blondie. My poor hair gets styled almost day by day and undergoes a lot damage, so I’m continuously searching for products to avoid wasting and maintain it.
