“How do two brothers get into the nail care business?” That is the one most typical query people ask us. There’s an extended and rocky version but we’ll provide you with the short one. Now we have our fearless and unconventional mother, Young Salo, to thank. With a single-minded entrepreneurial spirit, she decided to start out her own business on the age of 49. She had a passion for the nail industry and we did every thing in our power to support her. Ultimately, it is a family business.

Greg, the older brother, became a licensed nail technician after switching gears from fire fighter’s training. He’s energy personified and has a real passion for developing the very best skilled nail care products and education. Habib is the younger brother. He jumped in a couple of years later; taking a detour from medical school and a life in music. He brings his own creative mind for business, marketing and strategy. Unexpectedly, we’re an ideal team.

Today, greater than 20 years later, Young Nails Inc., is knowledgeable nail care manufacturing company exporting to over 40 countries worldwide and distributing domestically to over 3000 stores. We’re respected for our next-level product innovation and education. Our mission is to bring you the very best quality products and we’ll show you tips on how to use them with incredible results. It’s really that easy.

Welcome to the Young Nails family!

Here is a situation that happened to me yesterday. My client sent a photo of what she wanted. I told her that i couldn't do it exactly like the photo because idk what was used, i probably dont have the same items etc… she said she was fine with that. i showed her the colors i though would be best based off the photo… all good with her. I was happy with the set at the end. I asked the client (Im still new only doing nails since march) if there was anything she wasn't happy with. That i'd rather fix anything she didn't like now so she didn't leave unhappy or have to come back. She said she was good. (I didn't believe her) but what can I do? She leaves, then calls another nail tech crying she hates them wants the other nail tech to fix them… nail tech reaches out to our manager who calls the client and tells her to come back and we will fix for free…(Meaning I will fix them for free) She comes back realizes the manager who isn't a nail tech btw isn['t going to fix them that i am and she refuses and wants a refund… I give her the refund, but i'm pissed. so i lost two hours of my time plus the money for the set. What is the best way to handle this? oh and there were a couple of minor things that i didn't notice originally that were easily fixed. her thumbs were different lengths and one was a little wider than the other… easy to fix.

Can you bring back the real time videos? Those are really helpful with timing each step. Would love to see them done with current trends/designs or even the single nail designs Greg does but as a full set.

I love the 30 minute set that lasts and looks brilliant! I can’t tolerate sitting there for much longer. I don’t get nail polish or designs. I can do my own complete set in 45 minutes and they look/last just as long. I’m getting faster.

I need to practice more it still takes me 3 ½hrs mainly on building the nail (acrylic) and because I take my time there I file less but I still take around 13-20 min per nail start to finish. Regardless of my time and I'm just practicing I'm never charging below $90 that's just me, full set.

Yes! Totally! I love what I do, I could literally do it 7 days a week…but at the end of the day this is my business and how I pay my bills.
