As an actress, businesswoman, wife, and mom of two, Tia Mowry keeps many plates spinning within the air. Though she makes it look effortless together with her constant bookings, multiple projects, and fun glam on Instagram Reels, she admits that the working mom life isn’t quite as balanced because it makes it seem.

“I’ve realized because I’ve been a mother for 11 years now, that there isn’t a thing called ‘balance’ in the case of motherhood,” Mowry tells ESSENCE. “I’ve needed to learn throughout the years that there will likely be days where I’m spending more time with my children and never as much time on my profession. Or, there will likely be days where I’m spending more time on my profession and never necessarily my children. But principally, I just practice being kind to myself, being forgiving of myself on those days.”

And there’s so much for Mowry to keep balanced as of late. She just wrapped filming on the ultimate season of her hit Netflix comedy, Family Reunion, which she guarantees is bound to impress fans of the show.

“We don’t yet have a start date for our third and final season, but after I say I’m so incredibly happy with this season, we’re definitely going out with a bang.”

On top of all that, she’s also working on bringing more of her signature holiday-themed content to television.

“I’m currently working with Lifetime and creating diverse-focused, women-focused movies where I’m the producer and coming up with the storylines and dealing with incredible women directors, women writers of color. And I’ll be shooting considered one of those movies next yr in February, that may come out, through the holidays, 2023,” she shares.

Though she doesn’t have a recent holiday movie this particular season, she’s excited to spend this yr focused on the opposite side of the pendulum: her home and family life.

“I’m just so excited to be specializing in my family through the holidays,” she says. “That is a terrific time for my family and I to reset and to actually bond and creating memories and experiences are really necessary to me.

“So after all, there will likely be pumpkins in front of the home during Halloween, and we will likely be watching Twitches,” she said, noting that the Halloween classic it isn’t exactly her son Cree’s favorite, but she’s getting him to warm as much as it yr by yr. “So I’m excited and I cannot wait to share with the world what our Halloween costumes are going to be this yr. I already know what it’s. I’m excited.”

But first, the actress and cookbook writer is kicking off October, with a fun recent recipe. In honor of National Coffee Day on October 1, she’ll be sharing a brand recent recipe together with her fans and followers to boost your morning coffee with somewhat lactose-free indulgence.

“I’m all about food and creating recipes and I’m sharing my recent recipe, my spiced milk cube recipe, which is a terrific, fun recent way that you could add milk to your coffee,” Mowry said. “I exploit Lactaid, so it allows me to enjoy the advantages of real milk, which is the creaminess, the flavour, and the feel that comes together with milk in my coffee.”

“I take all the pieces a day at a time,” Mowry says of her insanely busy life. “My priorities are to be sure that my children are glad, my children are healthy, my children are secure. But then. I’ve also learned about ensuring that my cup can also be filled.”
