“I got to high five Oprah, so… there you go.” That is how Dua Lipa sums up being a part of British Vogue’s history-making March 2024 cover shoot — the last of Edward Enninful’s six-and-a-half-year tenure. Together together with his long-time collaborator Steven Meisel, Enninful managed to assemble no fewer than 40 former cover stars — trailblazing media moguls, original supermodels and Oscar winners amongst them — in a single room on at some point in Manhattan. Cindy Crawford showed Anya Taylor-Joy where the camera was, and Maya Jama had a moment together with her GOAT, “Somali legend” Iman, all while Meisel blasted ‘What’s Recent Pussycat?’ over the speakers.
