My fav product is the Creme of nature Mango and Shea ultra moisturizing leave in conditioner. It has been a game changer for my 4C fairy knot prone, fine hair. I apply to small sections, detangle with a wide tooth comb and do two strand twist on each detangled section curling at the end and let it air dry. I could pull them apart, but usually leave it like this until my next wash day using some essential oils on my scalp in between time often reapplying more of the creme of nature and retwistimg as needed. It's only been a few months, but the hair loss is minimal compared to the clumps I use to have before. If you have hair like it may work well for you too.

I use different products for my wash n gos depending on what kind of look I want but my current fav is banana gel by the doux. I don't do rod sets often but I do want to try adding it to my routine (especially after I get my bob 😋). I enjoy the unbrush especially when I do kids hair or people that are tender headed.

Well I thoroughly enjoyed watching this flexi-rod set. Your client looks absolutely beautiful, and I was wondering how she would protect it at night. I've used the Unbrush since I first found one at Sally's Beauty and they weren't selling. I'm on my 4th one now. No other detangling brush has ever detangled my hair without pulling my hair out.

Now I want color and a rod set 😢. When I do Rodsets on my clients I use Nairobi and on some textures I’ll use The doux foam then for leave in I would use either the kera care leave in or the 25 miracle milk by mizani. I also love both the unbrush and the Felicia leatherwood brush.

Dollar Tree has a great unbrush dupe. I have both but I tend to grab the dupe more often. Try both and compare. But they are both great brushes. The dupe is cheaper and works a little better.

I love GREASE!!! I normally use the purple and yellow flexi rods with the whole lotta body foam and the boars hair brush to separate my curls and the pattern brush to detangle ❤

Go Ms Joyce! I like the Miche Tropical Oasis gel for wash n go's. It's an alternative to wetline, with better ingredients, and gives lasting hold. Sometimes I'll pair it witha mousse.
I've never tried the unbrush. It looks like a dupe of my favorite brush that I've used for years: the Phillips Flexx brush. It's gray with an aqua colored brush prongs. I luuuuuv it. And when I discovered it worked well for me, I bought several. LOL so I'm still working thru my stash. I tried the Felicia Leatherwood, and I don't like it as much as my Flexx–it's more hard and ion like dat.

I def agree with sticking with the same colorist hair stylist. I had someone color my hair the perfect color I wanted and when I went back to the salon, she was no longer there. I had to get another person to do my color, and I got two different looks. The second look was ok, but I loved how the 1st stylist did my color. Anywho lesson learned.

I really love the honesty and respect you have for your industry. The fact that you expressed that it's ok to have different stylists for different things as long as your hair is taken care of. I used to do something similar to my hair. I’d blow dry it and spray liquid mousse on it then set it. I’d let it air dry and it would turn out so shiny with lots of body.

I like the Unbrush, but I can only use it occasionally. It doesn't catch all my hair that has shed over the week. After a while, I ended up having a bunch of loose hairs that had built up start hanging down. I was pulling the loose hairs out by hand. I have 4b to 4c hair. I use a detangling brush with more teeth.
