Leonard Lauder Launches Scholarship for FIT Program – WWD
Leonard A. Lauder is inaugurating a scholarship with FIT. Launching fall 2023, the Leonard A. Lauder Endowed Scholarship in Cosmetics and Fragrance Marketing is a $1 million fund that can award as much as 4 undergraduate students $10,000 annually to cover their tuition expenses. “FIT graduates contribute significantly to the creative and business economy, including the beauty industry,” Lauder said in a press release. “These graduates have a rare impact in our industry, and The Estée Lauder Cos. is fortunate to have many wonderful FIT graduates amongst our employees.” To be eligible for consideration, students of the Cosmetics and Fragrance Marketing program should have a GPA of three.0 or above. “The Leonard A. L’Oréal Takes Minority Stake in French Biotech Company Microphyt
PARIS — L’Oréal is expanding its reach into the green sciences by taking a minority stake in Microphyt, a French biotech company, to develop recent cosmetic solutions. The investment was made through Business Opportunities for L’Oréal Development, or BOLD, the group’s enterprise capital fund. L’Oréal and Microphyt are starting to work together on progressive lively ingredients to open recent beauty territories, based on Anne Colonna, head of advanced research at L’Oréal. “We're going to put all of the progressive power of Microphyt, including the actives they have already got, with all the ability of L’Oréal to judge each the efficacy and the security, and to formulate,” she said. “We actually need to synergize to go one step further.” One other goal with the partnership...
