Christian Siriano is mixing self care and skin take care of his upcoming collaboration with Olay.
The clothing designer, who celebrates 15 years of his eponymous brand this yr, has joined Olay as chief drop officer for a limited time to co-develop a three-product collection of “self care items” launching Nov. 14.
Though full collection details won’t be revealed until Nov. 1, Siriano shared the road is inspired by Olay’s recently launched Super Serum, which retails for $34.99 and harnesses low-pH niacinamide to enhance skin texture.
“The Super Serum bottle is gorgeous — it has this pink, iridescent tone, and all of the pieces in the gathering are pretty, ethereal, romantic — but still sort of daring and powerful,” said Siriano, who first dabbled in beauty last yr, giving BeautyBio’s GloFacial tool a limited-edition gunmetal finish.
Said Lindsey Morahan, North America communications director at Olay: “These are items you should use whilst you’re doing all your skincare at home to feel a bit bit extraordinary.”
Olay has looked to Stanley, Orolay, and Warner Bros. as recent collaborators, and goals with this collection to supply “attainable luxury to everyone,” said Stephanie Headley, P&G’s senior vp and brand franchise leader of Olay and North America Skincare.
“We desired to partner with someone who would offer a special perspective — Christian does just that, plus he reaches individuals who may not currently have Olay on their radar,” she said.
And being someone who strives to assist others be ok with themselves through his designs, Siriano saw the collaboration as a natural extension of his mission.
“Especially with launching this around the vacations, which, yes, are a time of gift-giving and family and friends, we would like to emphasise taking that little break and time for yourself, and ensuring you’re doing all of the things that you simply love — your skincare regimen, your workout routine, whatever it’s,” Siriano said.
