Dolce&Gabbana Beauty celebrates various kinds of love in brief

Featuring a pair and a friend duo, the two-part mini-film celebrates the launch of the Italian brand’s K and Q Eau de Parfums

No matter whether it’s deeply personal, platonic or passionate and romantic, love exists in lots of forms. As a nod to different types of intimacy and relationships, Dolce&Gabbana Beauty‘s latest fragrances, K and Q rejoice the synergy between self-love and the love you’re feeling with others. To coincide with the launch of the fragrances, Dazed has partnered with the Italian brand to create a mini-film series embodying the characters each the K and Q fragrances convey.

Entitled Love Notes, the two-part mini-film series features London-based couple Madison Hahn and Akira Woodgrain, alongside friends and inventive collaborators Danni Spooner and Novaya Shey. Shot by director Angelina Mamoun-Bergenwall and styled by Charlotte Roberts, the movies capture each duos as they unpack different ideas regarding love throughout the comfort of their very own homes.

The primary part, On Self Love, focuses on personal reflections on love, confidence and the strength to search out beauty in oneself. “Having someone real near me has made me realise that plenty of the issues I assumed I had should not that essential, especially if other people don’t consider them to be flaws,” explains Akira Woodgrain. We also see Spooner and Shey concentrate on the features of themselves they love probably the most, including personal quirks, confidence, resilience and the flexibility to nurture community.

Elsewhere, the second a part of the series called On Connection speaks to honesty and the day-to-day expressions of affection. Dreamy shots show each duos as we hear them openly discuss the importance of their bonds. Speaking on her bond with Spooner, Shey says “It’s a pleasant warm feeling if you find yourself around someone that you just discover with and an element of them represents an element of you”.

Over a cup of tea, the 2 go on to debate what they admire about one another highlighting the wonder present in their shared experiences being an element of the queer community. The second part also sees Woodgrain and Hahn undergo the love languages as they talk through the several ways they receive and show love to one another to be able to deepen their connection.
