My wrist watch was Japanese and I loved it so much in my late teens and early twenties but sweat and perfume eventually eroded the metal. I found it two weeks ago and the top coat on the metal was completely eroded after 15 years. If it happened to a wrist watch it can happen with this compact too. The good thing is this compact can be restored.

Im a Jeweler. We can’t do anything for it. Real jewelers don’t work in gold plate or brass metals. Sorry ❤ if you find someone who does restoration work in costume jewelry that might be helpful. You can try replating it too.
